Handcrafted from the flowers offered at Kedarnath, these bambooless incense sticks carry the blessings of one of the most ancient temples in Indian history, believed to have been built by the Pandavas post the Mahabharata war, as a way of worshiping Lord Shiva. Kedarnath temple is the most difficult to access out of all sacred abodes in the Char Dham Yatra and it is believed that visiting this temple cleanses one of all their sins, purifies the soul and leads one towards salvation or moksha.

Infused with the fragrance of
Gulab, Lord Shiva’s favorite flower, these bambooless incense sticks have many aromatic notes that are floral, sweetly honeyed and create a calming and deeply spiritual environment. You can burn them during your morning and evening prayers, offer prayers to Lord Shiva and invoke His divine blessings from Kedarnath.

The pack consists of 27 units. Each unit burns for 55-60 minutes and brings a divine energy into the home,
reminiscent of the spiritual energy that one can experience only at 11,755 feet, at the height of the temple itself.

  • In the peak pilgrimage season, Kedarnath Temple has an influx of more than 7 lakh devotees who come from all around the world for Lord Shiva’s blessings.
  • The terrain around the temple is rugged and challenging, with pilgrims often having to walk on steep and rocky paths, especially during the last leg of the journey from Gaurikund to Kedarnath, which involves a 16 kilometers long trek.
  • Due to heavy snowfall and dangerous weather conditions, it is only open to people between April and November. It has a rustic stone architecture with a sturdy base to withstand the harsh mountain landscape.
  • During the devastating Uttarakhand floods of 2013, a massive landslide occurred near the temple. It is believed to be an act of divine providence that the temple miraculously survived, as a massive boulder behind it acted as a shield, diverting the flow of debris and preventing direct impact on the structure.
